From December 10th to 12th, journalists from 14 mainstream media outlets including CCTV.com, Anhui Channel of People's Daily Online, Anhui Channel of Xinhuanet, Anhui Channel of China National Radio, Anhui Daily, and Anhui Radio and Television Station came to Ningguo one after another. They conducted interviews, on-site visits, and held symposiums to gain a deeper understanding of the touching entrepreneurial story and the spirit of reform and innovation of Chairman Xia Dinghu over the past 40 years.
To solemnly commemorate the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up and vigorously promote the spirit of reform and entrepreneurship, on December 6th, the Publicity Department of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China issued a notice titled "On Concentrated Publicity of the Advanced Deeds of Comrade Xia Dinghu". The document pointed out that Comrade Xia Dinghu's journey of struggle is a vivid portrayal of the great process of reform and opening up. He is an outstanding private entrepreneur who is committed to serving the country through industry and takes on social responsibilities. He is a model example of Communist Party members in the new era who remain true to their original aspiration, keep their mission in mind, and strive forever. As a major advanced model in the province, provincial media and central media stationed in Anhui are required to conduct concentrated interviews and in-depth reports on Comrade Xia Dinghu's spirit of reform and entrepreneurship. The Publicity Department of the Provincial Committee also particularly requested that all media outlets must complete, in-depth, vivid, and innovative publicity and reporting, fully demonstrating the spirit of reform and innovation, hard work, and dedication to society that Comrade Xia Dinghu has shown in the great process of reform and opening up.
Starting from December 12th, relevant central and provincial media outlets successively launched special columns to honor Chairman Xia's deeds and spirit, which caused a strong response in all sectors of society. Local municipal and county-level media also actively followed up, either creating original content or re-posting, participating in the coverage in various forms. The massive and concentrated coverage also aroused the pride of the employees of Zhongding and the local community. During this period, people spread the news to each other, and many voluntarily read, watched, and shared the related reports. The enthusiasm remained high and became a trend.
As the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening up approaches, various forms of commemorative activities are being held across the country. Given the significant contributions made by the private entrepreneur group to the economic development of our country and the rise of national industries during the historical process of reform and opening up, they have received extensive and unprecedented attention from the central government, local authorities and all sectors of society. As one of the pioneers and trailblazers of reform and opening up in our province and even the whole country, Chairman Xia, who founded and led the Zhongding Group, has made tremendous historical contributions to local economic development, employment, social public welfare and charity, especially to the strong rise of China's automotive rubber parts industry in the global industry over the past decades.
