On March 15, 2019, under bright sunshine and amid the vibrant ambiance of spring, the 2019 Supplier Conference of Zhongding Group was ceremoniously convened at the Junlan Resort Hotel of Shuidong Qinxin Valley in Xuancheng City. The theme of the conference was defined as *“Integration, Sharing, and Win-win Collaboration”*. In attendance were core leadership of the group, including Xia Dinghu, Ma Xiaopeng, and Xia Yingsong; principal executives of the group’s subordinate companies; relevant personnel from the purchasing and quality management systems; as well as over 300 supplier representatives from across China.
Ma Xiaopeng, Deputy General Manager of Zhongding Group, opened the conference with a welcome address. Subsequently, Wang Guoping, Purchasing Director of Zhongding Co., Ltd., and Zhao Xianfeng, Quality Director, successively delivered two thematic reports: *2018 Annual Purchasing Work Report* and *2018 Annual Purchasing Quality Work Report.
In his report, Wang Guoping presented a data-driven overview of the 2018 purchasing operations, covering the company’s annual business performance, progress of key initiatives in 2018, as well as the task objectives and priority projects for 2019. A central focus of his presentation was the new framework for centralized and unified purchasing management, which encompasses three core dimensions: centralized development of new suppliers, centralized governance of the supplier system, and phased centralization of commercial contracts.
Zhao Xianfeng’s report centered on data analysis of supplier delivery quality. He further outlined the requirements, objectives, and key priorities for supplier quality management in 2019, and called on participating suppliers to actively collaborate with Zhongding Group to enhance quality management systems, thereby ensuring the provision of more stable and high-quality products to support the group’s operational goals.
Afterwards, Xia Yingsong delivered a keynote speech on "Development Strategy". In his speech, he introduced the main development situation of Zhongding in 2018, expounded on the current domestic and international economic situation background, as well as the current development status and future trends of China's automotive industry. He pointed out that in 2018, China's automotive industry witnessed a decline in production and sales for the first time. The automotive industry is facing increasingly severe challenges. He hopes that all suppliers can stand together with Zhongding and overcome the difficulties together. Next, he introduced Zhongding's international business layout. He said that currently, Zhongding has established a good international platform covering global production, global research and development, global distribution and global services. Based on this, a global procurement and supply pattern will gradually be formed in the future, and competitive international suppliers will be introduced. At the same time, he also hopes that the suppliers attending the meeting can take advantage of Zhongding's development express train and enter the company's international procurement platform.
When introducing Zhongding's future development strategy, he said that in order to adapt to the development trend of the automotive industry and give full play to the company's core technological advantages, Zhongding will focus on the development and expansion of four core business segments in the future: fluid pipeline systems, sealing systems, vibration and noise reduction and lightweight chassis systems, and air suspension and motor drive control systems. He hopes that the suppliers attending the meeting can always maintain confidence in Zhongding's development, closely cooperate with Zhongding, move forward hand in hand, and jointly create a mutually beneficial and win-win situation.
During this period, company leaders such as Xia Dinghu, Ma Xiaopeng and Xia Yingsong also presented awards to the representatives of suppliers who were recognized as outstanding suppliers of 2018. Representatives from Zhejiang Yuyao Shenxiang Machinery Co., Ltd. and Taizhou Yuantuo Company were invited to speak on stage respectively, sharing on the spot the win-win development experiences of their companies in cooperation with Zhongding.
It is understood that in order to further save procurement costs, shorten the procurement cycle, reduce procurement risks, and improve the quality level of suppliers' supplies and the technical capabilities of collaborative development, this year the company's procurement system will take measures to optimize and integrate suppliers, promote the survival of the fittest, and screen out a group of high-quality and reliable suppliers for the future development of Zhongding.
