Following Precix and KACO, another overseas subsidiary of Zhongding marks its 100th anniversary On the evening of June 29, the VIP area of Dortmund Stadium in Germany was abuzz with activity as the centennial celebration of Vincentz-Wiederholt GmbH, an overseas subsidiary of Zhongding Group, was grandly held here. Chairman Xia of Zhongding Group, accompanied by his wife Ms. Zhao Jingjuan, attended the ceremony and delivered a congratulatory speech. More than 500 guests, including members of the North Rhine-Westphalia state government, the mayor of Holzwickede, the chairman of the metal industry union of Unna, and all employees of Vincentz-Wiederholt, attended the celebration.
In his speech, Chairman Xia stated that this was not only a banquet for reminiscing, but also for gratitude and for looking forward to the future. He reviewed the historical changes between China and Germany over the past century and the ups and downs of Wiederholt GmbH through a hundred years of trials and hardships. He praised Wiederholt as a historical microcosm of medium-sized enterprises in the development of German industry, and commended the company's development spirit of enduring hardships and thriving through adversity. He also introduced the entrepreneurial development of Zhongding Group, noting that the combination of Zhongding and Wiederholt was a meeting of like-minded heroes. Since the acquisition, Wiederholt had achieved a magnificent transformation with the support of Zhongding, exceeding its budget in 2018 with an output of 65,000 tons of steel pipes and sales exceeding 100 million euros. In 2019, Wiederholt was fully prepared to improve production processes and implement a series of investment plans, boasting a bright prospect. He expressed his gratitude to the local government, banks, suppliers and customers who cared about and supported Wiederholt's development, as well as all employees for their concerted efforts and hard work in expanding the enterprise. Looking ahead to the company's future development, he said, "Looking back on the past 100 years, we have experienced numerous trials and mixed emotions; looking forward to the next 100 years, we are full of ambition and resolve. Standing at the starting point of a new century, let us join hands, unite as one, and work harder to jointly write a more splendid new chapter for Zhongding Wiederholt, and continue to strive for the 'Zhongding Dream' of 'Creating Value Together, Sharing Happiness Together'."
Up to now, Zhongding has three overseas enterprises with a history of over 100 years. Among them, Precix was already 103 years old when acquired by Zhongding. Germany's KACO held its centennial celebration in 2014, and Vincentz-Wiederholt is the second one. Founded in 1919 and located in Holzwickede, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, Vincentz-Wiederholt GmbH specializes in precision steel pipes, with major customers including ThyssenKrupp, ZF, Bosch, Volkswagen, Daimler and others. It has maintained steady operation since being acquired by Zhongding in 2015.
