On January 6 local time, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Zhongding Mexico factory was grandly held at the AMEXHE Industrial Park in Guanajuato State. Zhongding Sealing Parts USA CEO Han Kun, DRT Group General Manager Robert Gaitan, Park Director Jorge, construction partner ESNAVI General Manager Francisco Ramirez, as well as representatives and partners from Chinese enterprises like Youcheng and Shanghai Kaizhong, attended, witnessing the official commencement of construction for Zhongding's manufacturing base in Querétaro, Mexico.
At the ceremony, Zhongding USA CEO Han Kun, on behalf of Zhongding Holdings Chairman Xia Yingsong, thanked all partners, emphasizing that the Mexico factory is a strategic move by Zhongding to deepen global resource integration and strengthen regional market service capabilities. DRT Group GM Robert Gaitan pledged full support for the project. Construction partner ESNAVI GM Francisco Ramirez also stated they would advance the construction with high standards. Representatives from Chinese enterprises like Youcheng expressed appreciation and expectations for Zhongding's layout, wishing Chinese manufacturing enterprises to continuously enhance competitiveness in global collaboration.
Witnessed by the attending guests, Han Kun and partners completed the blessing and groundbreaking ceremony, marking the entry of the Zhongding Mexico factory into the substantive construction phase. The total construction area of the factory is approximately 60,000 square meters, with the first phase covering 37,000 square meters. It is expected to be completed by the end of 2026 and officially operational in the first quarter of 2027.
Based on the existing production capacity foundation of Zhongding's subsidiary TRISTONE in Chihuahua and Delicias, Mexico, the new Querétaro factory will further strengthen Zhongding's manufacturing and service network in the Americas. Against the backdrop of accelerated regional restructuring of the global automotive industry chain, the construction of this factory signifies that Zhongding is proactively responding to the "nearshoring" trend. By moving production capacity forward, it aims to enhance the localization response speed and supply chain resilience for core customers in the Americas, effectively coping with trade and environmental uncertainties.
In the future, Zhongding will use the Mexico factory as a pivot, integrate technology and supply chain resources, provide customers with more agile and reliable value-added services, and join hands with Chinese automotive industry chain enterprises to participate in shaping the new global automotive industry landscape with a more mature and systematic approach.
