Zhongding Supports BYD Cloud Rail's First Commercial Line in Global Operation

On August 31, the globally watched BYD Yinchuan Cloud Rail Line was officially completed and opened to traffic, emerging as a new milestone in China’s urban rail transit sector. The BYD Project Team of Zhongding Vibration Damping was also privileged to undertake the research and development of partial products. Leveraging the robust resources of Zhongding Group, the team, in collaboration with BYD Company, achieved a transformative leap from scratch—encompassing structural analysis, product optimization, and product process debugging.

BYD and Zhongding have long maintained close collaboration in the automotive NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) industry, with Zhongding’s professional technical competence in the field widely recognized by BYD. In early 2015, the Southwest Regional Office of Zhongding Marketing敏锐ly perceived the future development potential of BYD Cloud Rail and conducted a series of communications with the BYD Cloud Rail Research Institute to secure new product development qualifications. Following rigorous screening across technical solutions, pricing, and other dimensions, Zhongding Vibration Damping successfully obtained the development contracts for three new products: the "T-shaped shaft", "light rail body buffer block", and "height-adjustment support base". Over more than a year of design and R&D, the Southwest and North China Project Teams of Zhongding Vibration Damping—without access to any mature reference solutions—persevered through months of dedicated efforts, ultimately collaborating with the BYD Light Rail Research Institute to design products that met all requirements and smoothly advanced to mass production and market launch.

Diligent efforts have yielded substantial returns: these three products feature high unit prices and significant profit margins. The annual sales volume of the "T-shaped shaft" alone is projected to reach 14 million yuan, while the combined annual sales of the three products are expected to exceed 20 million yuan.
