Recently, Zhongding Co., Ltd. issued an announcement stating that its European subsidiary, AMK, will invest in the establishment of Anmeike (Anhui) Automotive Electric Drive Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 12 million US dollars.
The registered address of the company is located at the intersection of Qingyi River Avenue and Baocheng Road in Xuancheng Economic and Technological Development Zone. Its core business scope encompasses the R&D, production, and sales of automotive motors, compressors, electric pumps, air suspension systems, and air compressors; it also engages in self-operated and agency services for the import and export of commodities and technologies within the scope permitted by national regulations.
Founded in 1963 and headquartered in Germany, AMK is a supplier of motor battery control systems, driving assistance systems, and chassis electronic control systems. Its business operations are divided into two major segments: automotive business and drive control technology. The automotive business accounts for approximately 70% of its total business, with sales primarily concentrated in the domestic German market. Its product portfolio includes electrically controllable systems and electric powertrains for conventional vehicles, electric vehicles, and hybrid vehicles. The drive control technology segment mainly provides servo motors, controllers, and drive technologies to customers in the engineering industry. Beyond the automotive sector, its clientele spans industries such as plastic injection molding machines, textile machinery, tobacco machinery, pharmaceutical machinery, and automated drive control systems for food processing machinery. The company supplies EPS steering motors and transmission motors to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) including Jaguar Land Rover, Volvo, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW.
Zhongding acquired AMK in 2016, thereby entering the fields of automotive air suspension systems and motor electronic control systems. The establishment of Anmeike (Anhui) Co., Ltd. through this reverse investment marks the official launch of AMK project in the Chinese mainland. The company's advanced technical capabilities will serve domestic customers, bringing benefits to the development of the domestic automotive industry, especially the new energy vehicle industry. At the same time, it also marks the full localization of Zhongding's four major system acquisition projects and the entry of overseas acquisitions into the integration and harvest period.
