The safety and living difficulties of the disaster-stricken people also touched the hearts of all Zhongding people, who immediately took action, either organized or voluntarily, to participate in various forms of vigorous flood relief activities.
Upon learning of the disaster, the Party Committee of the Group took the initiative to contact the disaster areas to timely understand the urgently needed emergency living materials and disaster relief supplies for the victims. According to the current needs of the disaster areas, a large number of materials such as rice, noodles, vegetables, edible oil, bread, candles, flashlights, and shovels were purchased and sent to the severely affected areas such as Nanji, Ningdun, Wanjia, and Xiaxi in six batches on August 13 and 14, solving the pressing needs of the local victims.
On the same day, to carry forward Zhongding's fine tradition of "Helping each other in times of trouble", the Party Committee of the Group issued the "Initiative on Unified Organization of Disaster Relief Donations" to the entire group, calling on all cadres and employees to show their love for the disaster-stricken people by donating money and materials. After the initiative was issued, the donation activity in the company flourished, with all cadres and employees generously contributing. In a short time, more than 540,000 yuan was raised for the disaster-stricken people. To support the post-disaster reconstruction of the disaster areas, Chairman Xia instructed that Zhongding Group donate 15 million yuan, and an additional 2 million yuan from the Dinghu Relief Fund founded with his personal funds.
