During PTC ASIA (Asia International Power Transmission and Control Technology Exhibition), the 7th second member congress of the Rubber and Plastic Sealing Professional Branch of China Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Seals Industry Association was held in Shanghai on October 24.
Cheng Xiaoxia, Vice Chairman of China Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Seals Industry Association, Xia Yingsong, Chairman of the Rubber and Plastic Sealing Professional Branch and General Manager of Anhui Zhongding Sealing Parts Co., Ltd., Zong Shouyin, Special Consultant of the Rubber and Plastic Sealing Professional Branch, as well as more than 50 representatives of governing units, member enterprises and industry experts attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Tong Hui, Secretary-General of the Rubber and Plastic Sealing Professional Branch.
In his speech, General Manager Xia stated that from 2018 to the present, it has been an extraordinary period for Chinese enterprises, and an especially challenging year for the rubber sealing industry. New difficulties and problems such as China-US trade frictions, the decline in the automobile sales market, and environmental protection pressures have continued to emerge, leading to an increasingly fierce competition and overcapacity in the entire industry, with some enterprises seeing a decline in profits and even struggling to survive. Under the current situation, enterprises can only maintain steady development in the fierce market competition by doing their own work well. General Manager Xia put forward some suggestions for the development of enterprises under the current situation, and hoped that all member enterprises would forge ahead, reform and innovate, overcome difficulties, and jointly contribute to the development of China's rubber and plastic sealing industry.
Subsequently, Vice Chairman Cheng Xiaoxia delivered a speech, expressing her views and suggestions on the current economic situation and enterprise development. Secretary-General Tong Hui made an annual work report of the branch, focusing on the work development and member development of the branch in 2019, as well as the next work plan. Consultant Zong Shouyin made an analysis report on the situation of the rubber and plastic sealing industry. The meeting also invited industry experts from Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Guangzhou Mechanical Science Research Institute, Pan Shi Hydraulic Industry (Anhui) Co., Ltd. and other units to give technical special reports.
After the meeting, General Manager Xia and the participating representatives visited the PTC ASIA exhibition together. During the visit, General Manager Xia and his entourage came to the "High-tech Exhibition Area" and had a meeting and exchange with Li Li, Chairman of China Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Seals Industry Association, and Cheng Xiaoxia, Vice Chairman.
