It is understood that the VQE award stands for "Volvo Quality Excellence Award." It is an award granted by Volvo Cars Company to suppliers who meet the award requirements and achieve a perfect score on a set of standard systems established by Volvo Cars. Scoring includes aspects such as quality systems, MMOG, sustainable development, SEMAT, PPM, OCS, Trust, etc., all of which must be maintained at the highest levels long-term. This award is the highest honor Volvo Cars bestows upon its suppliers in the quality field and the ultimate goal pursued by global Volvo Cars component manufacturing enterprises. According to Volvo Cars statistics, among all its suppliers, only about 5% can obtain VQE qualification, and most recipients are foreign-funded enterprises such as Bosch, Autoliv, and Continental.
